Lieutenant
Performs complex law enforcement duties in detective, patrol, and admin divisions and related law enforcement activities. Min. req. 21 yrs. old; SC driver’s license; Bachelor degre in law enforcement or rellated field w/4 yrs. exp. at Corporal or above; and/or equiv. combo. Min. salary $40,079 w/excellent benefits.

Police Officer

Performs police patrol, investigation, traffic regulation and related law enforcement activities. Min. requirements: 21 years old, valid SC driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, SC Criminal Justice certification preferred. Min. salary: $26,554 w/ excellent benefits.

Police Officer—Part time

School Crossing Guard
Responsible for the safety of students crossing the street en route to and from school and traffic control at school crossings 2 hrs. per day, 5 days a week when school is in session. Min. requirements: high school graduate or equivalent and ability to learn and apply skills in traffic direction. Benefits: SC Retirement. $9.00 per hr.

HFD —Volunteer Firefighter
Time requirements: Two evening training meetings a month and fire call response. Performs fire fighting, hazardous materials and fire prevention duties. Min. Req.: 18 yrs. Old, valid SC driver’s license, high school graduate or equivalent, reside within a 20 min. response time and remain on 24-hr. emergency call status. Prior fire service exp. and knowledge of city layout preferred. No benefits.

Byerly Park Part-Time Positions (open until filled)

Concession Attendant: Responsibilities: prepare and serve concession products, maintain proper DHEC regulations, overall cleanliness of area, provide accurate register reports in conjunction w/team leaders. Concession attendants must be able to work split shift, be self-motivated, have flexible schedule, may train in different areas to fill other positions as needed. $5.85 per hour.

Scorekeeper: Responsibilities: accurate keeping of scorebooks/scoreboards for all sports, area clean up, accurate reporting of scores to team leader, have flexible schedule, may train in different areas to fill other positions as needed. $5.85 per hour.

Gate Attendant: Responsibilities: direct sales/supervision of gate admission, accurate reports of admissions sales and ticket count, administer all park rules before patron entry. Must be a self-starter, have flexible schedule and may train in different areas to fill other positions as needed. $5.85 per hour.
