Wastewater Operation

Blackman Laboratory, Inc. personnel are responsible for preventative and emergency maintenance at the pump stations and the wastewater treatment facility. This maintenance is performed to ensure proper and uninterrupted operation of mechanical equipment associated with these facilities. Wastewater operators are on call 24 hours a day.

 

Wastewater Treatment Plant

The city owns and operates an activated sludge wastewater treatment facility capable of treating a flow of 3.5 million gallons a day. The facility consistently meets or exceeds effluent limits and standards established by the EPA in the City’s National Pollution Discharge Elimination System Permit.
