The City of Hartsville participates in the Darlington County sponsored “pay as you throw” solid waste program. Residents are required to purchase and use designated yellow trash bags for the disposal of all household waste. Funds generated by the use of these bags goes directly to the County to cover the cost of transport and landfill of this material. The special yellow bags come in three sizes and may be purchased from retailers in the City and around Darlington County.
Residential Sanitation Services
Services are provided Monday-Friday year round. Services are rescheduled to the day(s) before or after a holiday. Such changes are made public through the use of door hangers prior to the holiday. |
