OSHA and Other Regulated Programs.
The Hartsville Fire Department provides mandated fire extinguisher and planned evacuation training to local businesses, industries and medical occupancies, as well as fire safety programs for daycares and other child care facilities.

Lunch Buddies:
Shift staffs meet each month at their assigned schools and have lunch with different classes. The students and staffs interact with the firefighters to better develop an open line of communication.

Friday Night Out:
Each month, every shift sets up a display at a different business within their assigned zone. Fire prevention literature is distributed and fire engines are open for display.

Home Fire Inspections:
At the homeowner’s request, our staff will conduct a courtesy inspection of their home. A detailed summary is provided outlining any fire safety concerns that may be found as well as recommendations to correct these problems.
