| Airport Advisory. Advises the City on the future of Hartsville’s Municipal Airport. Meets the second Wednesday each month at 6 pm in City Hall. Building Code Board of Appeals. Established to hear appeals concerning building code decisions made by the City’s Building Code Official (city residents only). Meets as needed. Design Review Board. Meets periodically to review architectural construction plans to ensure the quality level of all projects constructed within the Overlay District. Meets the third Wednesday each month at 5:15 pm in City Hall. Election Commission. Responsible for coordinating municipal elections (city residents only). Meets as needed. Housing Authority of Hartsville. A policy making commission that plans for housing projects benefiting low-income individuals and families in the Hartsville area. Meets the last Tuesday of the last month of the quarter at 4 pm in the Southpark Apts. complex. |

| Museum Commission. Works closely with the city museum staff to promote and effectively manage museum activities. Meets quarterly. Parking & Beautification Commission. This “body politic” commission has authority to levy fees to purchase, improve and maintain parking lot property in the downtown area. Meets as announced. Parks Committee. Studies and recommends efficient and successful ways to operate parks and recreational facilities (city residents only). Meets the third Tuesday of the first month of the quarter at 6 pm in City Hall. Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority. Responsible for providing public transportation to the greater Pee Dee area. Planning Commission. Responsible for city zoning and land use laws as well as community long-range planning (city residents only). Meets the last Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm in City Hall Zoning Board of Appeals. Established to hear appeals concerning the city’s zoning regulations (city residents only). Meets as needed. |
